Why did you choose to pursue an internship with MKC/TMA?
I chose to broaden my horizons in the various fields applicable for a business major. The people in the MKC and TMA interviewing process for internships were enthusiastic about their jobs, which spoke volumes about the culture of the company.
What does a day in your life look like this summer?
A day in my life begins with arising from my slumber at the crack of dawn to acquire new knowledge and skills which develop a better experience in my internship. I work mostly in the elevator to deliver/receive various grains to test grade and assess properties.
What has been the most exciting part of your internship?
The most exciting part of my internship is the people that I work with every day. The job itself is somewhat straining and tiring but working with my team is always the best part.
What motivates you most about getting up to start a new day as an intern?
Honestly, what motivates me most about my early mornings is knowing that there is a new job or task awaiting me at the job site. No day has been the same and I am eager to continually learn a new role.
Favorite memory with your mentor?
My mentor and I make memories through our tendency to cause various kinds of commotion and have fun. We have similar personalities in that manner!
One thing you can’t leave the house without in the morning and why?
I can never leave my house without some form of caffeine. My fellow interns know I can forget just about anything at home. However, I have not once left my coffee or energy drink!
